Nordica Patron + Marker Griffons

Thread Starter

Hey there,

So I've inherited a pair Nordica Patrons w/o bindings. I'm currently on Blizzard Brahma's with Marker Griffons, like the Griffons alot, my question is two fold.

1) With a waist width of 113 can I run 110 brake Griffons on them?

2) Is there a better option?

Any feedback will help!

Yes and yes

I would put FKS or Pivots on that ski, but marker bindings are ok. The FKS have 180 degree toes, better elasticity, and have a smaller mounting footprint.

You will have to bend the brakes out a touch, but the Griffons will work. I have Salomon STH2 WTR 13's with 115mm brakes on my Patrons. I'm a big fan of Salomon bindings so is there a better option? Yes, in my opinion. That being said, every manufacturer has their loyal fan base, so if you are loyal to Marker, keep the Griffons. All bindings are designed to do two things. Hold your boot to the ski and to minimize the risk of knee injuries in the event of a fall. Whatever alpine binding you choose will do those two things. Beyond that, it comes down to personal preference (color, DIN range) or brand loyalty.

Awesome, thanks for the help guys!

The STH's will be a lot easier to click into in deep snow than the Griffons. I have no experience with Look Pivots/Rossi FKS.

Almost any binding is easier to click into in deep snow than any Marker Royal Family binding.
