Adding material to zipfit liner to help with 2nd buckle

I am in a Lange rx130lv 2016 model and using a zipfit Grand Prix model liner. I am finding that I have to buckle the 2nd buckle (the one over my instep) too tightly. I am also tightening the third buckle pretty snug to get the contact I like. The overall shell fit is quite snug from a length and width perspective so I'm not worried that I'm in the wrong size. I just like not having to buckle the boots so tight so I'd like to add some additional material to the zipfit liner as I saw this was possible on the zipfit website. My question is where to add it. Should I start with the tongue or the 3rd chamber that comes empty? The zipfit website and video seems to say that both help with the second buckle issue. Should I do both? I'd like to take up some of the volume above my foot. How much do you inject? The rest of the shell is a very tight fit so I think adding some material should help get the boots fitting just right. Thanks for your help!

first place i inject a zipfit is into the tongue, this pushes the foot back and down, after this you can in ject into the sides of the liner, for the tongue a maximum of 1 spot fit tube, but i normally start with 1/2 a tube, for the sides never more than 1/2 a tuber per side but often a lot less.... i would do the tongue then go ski it, then add a little more there assuming things are good but not 100%... then if you really have super skinny low volume feet and that isn't enough i would start on the sides, the key is little by little

Thanks for the feedback. To clarify, in your experience does adding material to the tongue help with not having to tighten the 2nd buckle so tight?

yes, that is correct, it can get to the bottom of the tongue which is ahead of the instep buckle and forms an "orthotic" type support over the top of the foot
