Bluetooth headset for ski helmet?

I'm considering getting my wife bluetooth audio chips that will work with her Giro Sheer helmet. Any recommendations?

I've been looking for the same thing for my own Giro helmet. Seems like Outdoor Tech makes some decent universal ones, though they're pretty pricey ($100+). So I'm tuning in for other recommendations, if there are any worth buying.

I purchased the Outdoor Tech ones last year and have to say they are worth it.  The whole speaker assembly is the button which makes it really easy to control (volume, skip, on/off, etc), especially with gloves on. They also fit into the ear muffs so no one knows you are listening to tunes and there are no wires to deal with.  I agree they are a bit pricy for a bluetooth headset but I don't think there is anything as good.

I bought a set of 3 Uclear headsets for my family (HBC 220 I think). They are expensive, but they work fabulously as intercoms and as Bluetooth headsets. They have two little speakers that slip into the ear flaps of our helmets (the Smith helmets have a zipper that lets you wire in a headset). The brains of the thing is a little oval-shaped box that clips to the outside of the helmet.

On the intercom side, they use "boomless" mic technology so they pick up your voice clearly without wind noise. They work for several hundred meters, well past line-of-sight, and they automatically re-connect when they drift out of range. On the Bluetooth headset side, they pair easily with my iPhone and music sounds amazing. They work with voice command (Siri) and with telephone calls too. They've transformed family skiing for us, but for simple Bluetooth music there are probably less expensive options.

@Prosper, would you consider getting a matched set for yourself and your wife? It's a lot more fun to be able to easily talk to your skiing buddy.

The HBC220 looks nice but really expensive. Looks like they also have a HBC100 model which cost-wise is on par with the Outdoor Tech audio chips. With the Uclear set do you carry the controller unit in a pocket? It looks like it's about the size of a computer mouse. Thanks!
