Serious Boot Questions

Hi there everyone

I'm new to the forum but figured this was the right place to put this.

Basically I have suffered from shin bang for as long as I have been skiing. I have been skiing over a hundred days a year for the last 4 years and have spent a small fortune on boots and "tongue eliminators"  and all sorts. For the last 2 years I have had full tilts which helped a lot but still in the end the shin bang kicked in! Last year I had a massive break through! Zip Fit liners!!

I went to a boot shop last season and they suggested them so I got some moulded and put into my full tilts shell! Problem solved! All was good :-)

Anyway this season I needed some new boots (the full tilts were falling apart) and was told by the boot fitter that suggested the zip fits that a good idea for me would be go with the Fischer Vacuums. So last month I went to another store and got some fitted along with the Fischer vacuum liners. All seemed good, however I have only skied on them for about 5 days and already the dreaded shin bang is back.

So my question to you is shall I put my Zip fit liners in the my Fischer Vacuum shell? Will I need to get the shell remoulded around the zip fit liner? Have been quoted 100 Canadian dollars for this which seems very very pricey! Will I need to get the liner remoulded (they have already been heated twice)? Or should i just put the liner in and hope that it with the heat of being worn the cork will naturally mould to the shell?

Thanks for any help given, I really appreciate it.

why not just put the zips in the fischers and see how it feels.   Then ski them and see how that feels.   remold if needed?

And if FT boots where working, why not go back to them?    if its working, done play with it.

Zipfit liners constantly mold and don't ever need to be heated.  So no harm is ever done in moving them.  Move them and found out if it works.
