Jackson Hole Limited Terrain open?

I notice that so far Jackson has only opened 2 lifts and a handful of runs on Apres' Vous.  Any idea when the rest of the mountain will open?  Is this normal, I usually don't pay much attention to the conditions this time of year but I am headed there much earlier this year than normal.  Headed there in a couple of weeks.  Should I expect that there is still only a very small number of runs open or will the whole mountain likely be open by then?

Jackson currently only has around a 30 inch base at summit and 20 at mid mt.. To get fully open including the steeper terrain you'd want to see a 60-70 inch base.

If Jackson options are limited you could drive over to grand targhee which has a reputation for great early season skiing.

Lots of year to year variation. Some years they open with 100%. Other years I've been nervously watching the trail report well into January. I've never been there early season, though.

A lot can change in a couple of weeks.  Stay frosty!

This is very early. Historically Jackson was not even open until first weekend of December but that policy changed a few years ago.  That said, November snowfall at both Jackson and Targhee was only 2/3 of average.   Jackson's Christmas track  record is very good, but with its steep terrain there is much less margin for error than at Targhee for below average early season snowfall.
