Binding help K2 Shreditor 92

Thread Starter

Hi guys,

I am looking for some help. I want to buy the 2015 K2 Shreditor 92's. I demoed these last year with Marker Griffon bindings. I have no idea what size the brake was but I am guessing 110mm. Is this brake okay for this ski?

If not, can you please recommend some alternate bindings for this pair of skis? Thank you.

I'd get the 90mm griffon, it will fit better after a tiny tweek.

Tiny tweak as in bending it a little bit? I won't be doing the work myself. Will a ski shop refuse to do the work if it's sketchy like this?

Whiteroom's a shop owner and knows his gear as well as anyone here.  His word is bond..

I believe that! What kind of tweak are we talking about? I just want to make sure my ski shop will want to do the work :-)

Agreed, the 110mm brake will stick out pretty far from the ski.  The 90mm should fit just fine!

A 90 mm brake fits over a 92 mm ski, if anything a quick trim of the backside of the plastic tips on the brakes will give you a mm or two

no, just a grumpy shop employee... I own a dog, a truck and too many pairs of skis. That's it.

And some bindings and stuff too, I'd imagine :rotflmao:

Last I checked you own some pretty awesome 2 wheeled machines too...

Thanks guys. It's pretty frustrating because some people are saying the 90mm's won't work and some are saying they will. Can you recommend any 100mm bindings that are similar to nice to put on those skis?

The Tyrolia Attack 13 has a 97mm brake:  http://www.skiessentials.com/nsearch?q=attack+13

It's very similar to the Griffon.  Different heel piece design, but very similar and quality bindings.

Is it a shop tech telling you the 90mm brake won't work?

Thanks. I'm waiting to hear from the shop but I am getting mixed messages from people on various forums about the 90mm not working.

Stop listening to them then:) Bending a brake 2mm isn't a big deal at all

I have personally mounted 90mm Jesters (same brake) on those skis, its 1mm per side of the brake, no issues.

Thanks TAH...Since its the same brand I would imagine that the griffon's will work.
