SNOWINN.COM - any payment process experience

Hi

We have placed an order with SnowInn.com. The order has been accepted but we have received a request for either of;

1) Credit card authorisation code

2) Passport or Identity Card Id showing name.

If not provided within 3 days the order will apparently be cancelled.

Has anyone else experienced this? It seems unusual.

The credit card company has confirmed that payment has been accepted.

Many thanks for any advice

You ordered form outside the EU? That might explain things.

Since it's a Europe-based company (Spain), they don't get many orders from outside the EU and meybe they get suspicious. I ordered a few times from them (I'm in the Netherlands by the way) and used Paypal and never had any issues.

Jut contact them and ask why they want additional documents? Explain to them that your credit card company has confirmed the payment....

Thanks for this.

However, we are in the UK so still seems unusual.

Tried contacting the company but could not understand the Spanish.

Beginning to wish we had used Paypal.

I've bought from Snowinn a few times.  Used PP every time.  Never had any issues, outside of delivery times.  They can take a long time.  They will over sell product before they have the stock, so they don't ship until stock arrives.

Thanks - i'm definitely feeling PP would have been the better option.

I had to mail a copy of my passport and I'm in Sweden, so not an outside EU issue. And I was a return customer. But goods have aleays been delivered promptly after that.

Excellent.

I shall send a slightly redacted version of the passport. Hopefully, this will work and produce the favourable outcome that everyone else has enjoyed.. I shall confirm.

Many thanks
