Fischer rc4 wc sc

Hello, I bought the 2014 Fischer rc4 wc sc last year. I was a bit disapointed by these skis, as I found them much less agressive and more tolerant than previous versions. I am considering buying the 2016 ones. Do you know if Fischer really changed the model and if the new version is more offensive? Regards, Pierre

I own the 2015 model and skied the 2016 model: they are identical in my view.

Hello Ghost,

I didn't know there were several models. It is this one :

Cheers

Well shame on Fischer for detuning a good ski.  I have an earlier model in a 165 cm length that works well for a 165 lb skier.

It may help a little if you set the base angle to 0.5 (and keep the sides at 3) degrees.

Fischer has at least 3 slalom skis in their line up and it gets a bit confusing keeping track of the similar model names.

The RC4 WC SL  (the "race" ski- there are several versions of this available), the "RC4 WC SC" and the "RC4 WC SC Pro".

I think you can consider the "WC SC" a detuned version of the race ski.  The WC SC Pro is a detuned version of the  WC SC.

If you found the Pro to be lacking, the SC is an excellent ski, definitely a step up in performance from the Pro and a bit more forgiving than the race ski in my experience.

Definitely check the tune.  I have skied that on and off for years, didn't seem like it had changed much.

If you don't like them, the new Blizzard S8 Power is pretty sick, seems to have a bit more energy than the Fischers do.  I am a Fischer fan, but this specific hard snow ski seems to be a little more fun all-around.

Or, the Stockli Laser SC. Can't beat that ski!

I was under impression that the WC SC Pro was just a WC SC with a minutely different graphic and the flowflex plate instead of a rail/racetrack. Didn't think there was a detune between them and "pro" versions of skis seem to be marked higher than their non-pro counterparts by the fischer website. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
