Stockli Stormrider Mount

Have a pair of 183 Stockli Stormrider 95 that need to be mounted. Straight tape pull the skis measure a hair under 182 cm and the recommended line is at -11.5 from center which looks too far back for my taste. Just from eyeballing it, +2-2.5 cm from recommended looks to be about right or -9 from center. Still looks like much more tip than I usually ski, but I am afraid to mount too far forward with such a traditional tail.

About me:

New school style skier, used to a more center mount (last pair was 174 Rossi Sickle at -5 from center which was too far forward)

130 pounds in gear

24.5, 287 BSL

Before you post telling me the skis are too long, I know. Demoed the shorter version and fell in love, found a deal that I couldn't pass. If anyone has a good condition pair of SR 95 or 100 in 174 and would be interested in trades I would be happy to talk.

I owned this ski, the first model with early rise but not as light as the current. Ball of foot mount is waay forward of recommended mount. I went 2 cm ahead of factory line (not center), was about right, still behind BOF. If you're 130 lbs with gear, this ski is ridiculous. Don't mount them. Don't even think about mounting them. Sell them. Trade them. Next time pass on the deals that are too good to pass up.

Won't disagree that its a little ridiculous, but my everyday ski is a stiff pair of 179 4frnts that I have no problems with. Even with a second mount, I feel very confident that I will be able to get my money back. It was a very good ebay snipe.

Which takes me back to, if I have them and no one is interested in trades, I would like to mount them and ski them.

All of my Stockli skis seem to end up at +1: Laser SC, Laser SX, Stormrider XL, Stormrider XXL. I had Vist Speedlock plates fitted so I could muck around with binding position.  Always seem to end up at +1.

182 cm is probably too long for you but what the hell, just go faster.
