Salomon X max cuff rivets

Do any of you know if the removable cuff botls from a
Salomon Xmax 130 will fit an Xmax 120 if the fixed rivets
on the 120 were drilled out? Need a few grinds and it's so much easier
With the cuff off. Salomon sells the bolts but guy I talked to can't
confirm they fit the 120.
Thanks

they should, but I can't 100% confirm that

They do fit, but it is not worth the trouble as the XMax plastic does not respond particularly well to grinding and is fairly thin in most areas..

We have better success with stretching and punching with current brand S boots

Your results may vary, of course.

Thanks to both of you. Good thoughts on the plastic it is kind of thin.
mostly need to grind for Haglunds and maybe to cut the saddles down a little.
Both of which can be done with the cuff on, but are far easier with it off.
Will have to decide if it's worth drilling out the rivets or not. Good to know it is an option.

The pump bump is the one place we grind first in a brand S boot. A tungsten bit cuts a little better then the standard 1" burr.

When you can no longer resist the need to flap wheel the hairs left, a small, fresh wheel is your best chance with the lightest of touch.

Cutting the clog saddles to soften an Xmax with a foredom is messy, I would suggest you try to weigh more.

It's just an XMax 120. C'mon!

Well, I'm just an old reformed leather booted telemarker!smile.gif
I'll wait until skiing it before I cut down the clog.
Thanks for all the good input!
