Top Bootfitter(s) in Colorado?

Thread Starter

I'm looking at getting some new AT boots and hoping I can get recommendations for top fitters in Colorado. Location not a big factor since I travel around the state quite a bit.

I've heard good things about Larry's Boot Fitting in Boulder though know nothing about the place. I'm sure there are lots very good fitters in the state. I don't want to say money is no object, but I'm truly looking for the best fit I can get.

thanks

Jim Lindsey at Bootech -- located at the base of Aspen Highlands.

One fitter you might consider is RB at Real Balance, Mount Crested Butte.  He's really dedicated to his trade, profession, or whatever it's called. Maybe Crested Butte would be a little out of your way though.

Larry's Bootfitting in Boulder. http://www.larrysbootfitting.com/

Had a great experience this season purchasing new Scarpa Freedoms with molded liners and insoles.

They have a great selection and take care of you. Well worth it for the correct selection and fit. Solid Front Range option.

Ski and Bow Rack in Pagosa Springs. Larry there is part of the America's Best Bootfitter's certification.

We've had work done by him for years and he has always been really generous with his time and fair with his pricing. 2 weeks ago he molded Fishers Vacuums for us and the fit is spectactular and corrected canting issues for both of us- in my case an issue I never knew I had.

He has a pretty unique foot himself, so he understands pretty innately how to work with feet that don't fit the mold. I happened to snap a picture of his boot when I was last there.

All good suggestions.  Add Jeff Bergeron in Breckenridge (was the Epicski boot guru for a number of years).   970-409-8882.  Does a lot of the instructors in Summit County.

Jeff works in Breck and Denver, I believe mainly in Breck once they opened for the season.

I do believe Jeff will also be available at Epic Mountain Gear in Frisco.  Last I heard he was planning on splitting his time this winter between Breck Sports and EMG.  He's a great guy and talented boot fitter!

Larry in Boulder is great. He did a great job with boots I bought elsewhere a number of years ago to get them to fit right. Very low key and great customer service. Don't go if you're in a hurry. Try to good mid week during the day if possible. It can be really busy on week nights and weekends.

If your on the way to Summit County give Chris Brown a call. He's usually in Idaho Springs but has a mobile boot fitting lab so he travels around.

All he does is boot fitting, alignment and custom footbeds. Chris ran the shop for one of the big time teaching guru's in the area for 10 years and is now out on his own.

He really knows his stuff and is willing to do emergency work if needed. Chris can be found at (303) 638-7077.
