WTB: Full Tilt Intuition Shell Tongue Replacement Tongue (22-25)

I'm looking for a stiffer tongue for my Mary Janes (FTI Intuition shell--not the Original Shell due to the connection at the toe) . I need a small (fits 22-25), I haven't had any luck on eBay or craigslist.

If your goal is to stiffen up the overall feel of your Maryjanes, maybe try getting new liners instead. My Maryjanes were getting very loose, sloppy and uncomfortable. My bootfitter recommended getting new liners. What a difference! (Thanks to Buck at Olympic Bootworks.) The overall responsiveness was vastly improved as well as being able to drive forward better. It didn't turn the boots into race boots but it did help.

The new liners were stock liners from another Full Tilt model (he took them out of a blue boot, I think but they resemble the liners from my old Full Tilt Bumblebees). I did get them heat molded. Additionally, I hated the Maryjanes when I first got them until I got the liners heat molded. So did my wife. With a good fit, we both really like the boot. My liners packed out causing my unhappiness. Added padding helped a bit. But in retrospect, I think the stock liners were just too soft.

An interesting note, I put the Maryjane liners in an old Flexon shell with the green tongue. This boot felt horribly stiff with the old Raichle stock liners. So bad that I never skied them ($5 garage sale experiments). The Maryjane liners gave them a much nicer flex feel. I still haven't skied them but I'm willing to try them now.

That's the other route I'm looking at.

FullTilt has the Pro Boot Liner on their site--which I think would not only increase the flex, but also hold down my heel better.

I also went on the Intuition Liner site where I would have a choice between the Pro Tongue or Pro Wrap for the most stiffness or the Dreamliner for medium stiffness.

I really appreciate your input. Glad to see someone thinking the same way. A serious boot upgrade for less than $200 would be nice--or even add another $50 if I still wanted the new tongue.

I have the Intuition pro tongue liner in med vol. it has one of the wimpiest tongues I've seen. Very poor. I can bend it length wise with my hands. It's extremly flexible relative to boot makers who know how to put a piece of stiff plastic on the face of the tongue. I went and bought a Nordica Dobie lace up race liner. Either that or the Lange I'd recommend if they fit. Not the Intuition. Race liners ain't cheap but neither is the Intuition.
