I havent skied lots of SL skis (Im mainly in GS masters skis), but I did ski the Atomic D2 SL 165 and the Head Rebels i.SL RD 165 FIS and one of the Fischer SL WCP 165 FIS. Im going to assume 2 things here:
1) The character of the D2 2.0 and 3.0 are pretty similar.
2) Them FIS SL skis are "pretty similar" for free skiing (honestly for me they dont differ enough for me, a non racer, in free skiing conditions - much less than the consumer versions, in which there are big differences)
If you have found the D2 SL unfriendly, I cant see how the FIS 165 will be anything differently. At least at this length.
The Head one was the wildest ride in the ice I ever had, and I was pretty heavy when I tried it (and not a very good skier, take note). Also I noticed that it was a pretty heavy ski, and for me this was a down point for freeskiing.
On the consumer ones, I like the D2 SL, but I noticed the Hero ST TI (top consumer model from Rossi) was significantly lighter and friendlier.
I use a GS R25 most of the time for freeskiing and cant really give any other recommendation, as Im not in the same weight category as you
