Which skis to buy to replace old Atomic Balance 9:7 [advanced, on piste in Alps]

Hi,

I'm looking for new skis to replace my old Atomic Balance 9:7 skis. I skied approximately 12 weeks with these ski's since I only ski one or two weeks a year. I ski every year since I was little (now 27) so I have an advanced level. I already visited some stores but the choice here is limited (I live in Europe and not close to the mountains). In the stores they recommended me the Atomic Cloud 11, the Elan Insomnia Fusion or the Atomic Cloud 73 D2.

Since all three are pretty different I don't know what the best choice is for me? Or do you have any other suggestions.

Note: I like to ski fast with big turns. I mostly stay on piste but the snow conditions can be pretty different in the Alps from ice in the morning to very soft snow in the afternoon. So I would like to ski comfortable on all snow conditions.

Thanks for the help!

All three of those will be better than the old Balanze.

To tell you the truth, to readers in the US (which is what most of the people reading your post will be) they really do not look all that different - low 70mm waist frontside skis are not incredibly popular.

Of those 3, my pick would be the D2 for what you say you like.          But - in the stores near you what options are there in slightly fatter skis?     What options are there in unisex (incorrectly called 'mens') skis?     Let's face it, you're buying skis for the next 5 years at least, no?
