I'm a newcomer - have been reading on the forum for few days and registered/posting now.
I am a beginner level skier. In the 5 days of downhill over two seasons, mainly tried Green/Blue slopes and once felt very brave to go to Red - and survived. So you may call my style as aggressive. Same for cross-country gone from 0 to 15 km per session in 5 days over two seasons.
Now it is likely that I will do a lot more skiing this year - at least 4 days each of downhill and cross country in JP and EU, likely more, and wondering if I should invest in personal boots and skis. I bought cross country boots and it helped me try/do more, and improve. However, even though boots are the most important gear for alpine skiing, they are big, more expensive and pain to carry around. Same goes for skis.
Would you recommend investing in boots and/or skis considering such low usage?
