FS: Profi Ski Vises. GREAT travel set-up.

This is a set of Profi tuning vises. I bought them years ago to use when traveling, flying, when weight mattered even less than it does today. This is the combination of the lightest, and most solid vise system made. I've used these on hotel dressers, kitchen tables in condo's, on deck railings……you get it.

These were made before Profi adopted the "boot" to insert into the binding, and then tighten. I have no idea why they made the change, as this system works easily, and well. There's a nylon line that you loop around whatever works with your bindings. I've almost always used a toe piece, or a brake. It then tightens down using the middle piece of the three vises. Rock solid.

The two main vises are designed to let you work on either your edges, or bases. You can also hold a ski at a diagonal, which I've never done. It works with either vertical sidewall skis, or cap skis.

Pretty neat set-up. Been well used, but in great shape. They do have wax on them, which I'll clean up! The new Profi vise systems, with the "boot",  sell at places like Artech for $130, or so….plus shipping. And, as mentioned, I much prefer not having to deal with the boot…..

I'm not traveling with tuning equipment any more. Pretty much all set at my usual destinations.

$40, shipped within the CONUS.

PM me with any questions. Thanks.

At the risk of exposing my ignorance, I can't figure out the function of the middle "vise" I imagine to bottom file, wax, or side file an edge you would only need to use the front and back vises

What am I missing probably the obvious!

The middle is the lasso clamp that stops the ski from sliding along it's length.    If you're using the edge-clamp (front, towards you)  you don't need it.     But if you're using the diagonal rest or the flat across the top position it's useful.

SOLD for zerofh!! Thanks!!

And, yes, that's how the middle lasso clamp works. The vises are quite grippy, but the line loop locks it in place. Very, very functional.
