Copper discount tickets

Hi all,
Hope everybody had a great summer!

The better half and I spend one day at Copper on our annual trip to Vail. We used to buy the
"E-Book" from the Denver school system and it gave us buy-one-get-one. Nice savings. Apparently there is no more E-Book. Since we rent a car we have a full tank when we leave Denver so the gas station fill-up thing won't work either. Is there anything else?

I just can't stand the thought of paying the full window price, (yeah I know, it's a drop in the bucket on the whole cost of the trip, but there's PRINCIPLES involved!).

Fill-up with gas at a Shell station in Vail after a few days and Ski Copper on your way out?

Can't you just fill up at a Shell gas station back home and bring the receipt with you?

No details up on the Shell BYGO site yet:

I live in norhern NY, no Shell stations around here anymore. Besides, I doubt they'd have discounts for CO here.

Is the BOGO offered in all shell stations in the high country?

That would probably work out better anyway, as Copper's altitude is tough on the first day.

Yes, I believe in the past all Shell stations in CO had the deal, as well as many other parts of the country.   I'm pretty sure friends have come in from the east coast with them in the past.

It's not a ticket you get at the Shell station.  It's just a voucher and you take that and your receipt for gas to the ticket window to get your 2 for 1 ticket.   Details will show up here at some point: http://skifreedeals.com/

Not quite as cheap, but Copper's website has advanced purchase tickets for your dates for $89 vs $138 at the window.
