You’ve been waiting for answers, and I apologize for the delay. I believe the community wants and deserves transparency and a clear answer to many questions. I will provide a brief summary now and then all the details in another post later on for those that want them.
The short version is: There are changes happening around EpicSki. I will be taking on the role of Site Manager in terms of caring for administrative responsibilities; TheRusty will continue as the Head of Moderators and will assist me with some administrative tasks; Laurel Hill Crazie will continue as a volunteer Resorts Editor. There will be no change in the focus of the site or site policy.
I can’t really say that I am replacing Tricia, because there is no way for me to do that. No one could ever replace her, and I am incredibly grateful for all the work she and Phil have done. However, someone needs to care for the day-to-day tasks that the community as a whole doesn’t always see--I'll explain more about the tasks needed later in this thread.
I am not Tricia or Phil, but what I intend to do is to be a good steward of this community. My goal is to help the community to do what it has done for the last 15+ years: create and curate great content based on insightful discussions. As Site Manager my role is to do my best to facilitate that. I am here to serve and help the community in any way I can.
