Best Tree Skiing Out Of...

Thread Starter

Going to Colorado this January or February.

Wondering what the best Intermediate tree skiing (not too step) would be in these areas:

Winter Park

Arapahoe

Loveland

Aspen

I'm trying to look for something with a 4 pack or the Mountain Collective, so if you know of another near Denver place with a 4 pack, please add that in.

Does early Feb work for you to get to Aspen?  That's when the EpicSki Aspen Gathering is happening.

Snowmass has some good areas for intermediates ready to play in trees.  Less waiting in lift lines on weekends than the other places you listed.

Winter Park or Aspen. If Aspen is possible I'd prefer it due to lack of crowd and more variety of terrain. Especially if you can go with the Gathering.

Although perhaps even better would be the Route 40 4-pack pass: http://www.winterparkresort.com/tickets-and-passes/pass-overview/route-40-4-pack.aspx

It'd get you 2 days at Steamboat which AFAIK has the best low-angle glades in the state -- plus a great town.

I'd agree with that.  Aspen and Highland's tend to be pretty steep.
