Well, this was a bit of a surprise and not a pleasant one at that. Sorry to see Phil and Tricia not running the site. As active participants with a large following, I thought the site flourished with them at the helm. I haven't read everything here but from what I did see, it appears that the site will be run by a corporate committee? What seems lost with that arrangement is the relationship and trust the users of this site have with those that run it. The new group may be able to gain the trust and relationships with the long-standing group but with this change and the apparent acrimony that may have precipitated it, it's going to be difficult and will take a long time. That's best case scenario. More likely, the group will drift. I don't know a lot about running an e-commerce business but it seems to me that this is a wrong step and will harm advertising revenues if site visits and membership registration dwindles. But perhaps that wasn't the motivation to have purchased the site in the first place (maintaining the Epic name is highly likely).
Regardless, Phil and Tricia will be missed here in their prior roles. However, there's no doubt in my mind that they'll be just fine when all is shaken out. Best wishes to them and to their new adventures, whatever they may be.
Winter's coming. Think snow!
