Boot sole length 305mm to a 301mm will bindings adjust?

I'm fairly new to sking but I have a pair of line afterbangs with salomon z10 bindings. My mondo size is 26.5 and my current boots are 305mm. I have my din and forward pressure correct. But I am looking to move to a pair of boots with a BSL of 301mm, I'm curious if the z10 bindings have enough adjustability when it comes to the forward pressure for me to use these boots? Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance.

What is this boot with a 301 BSL?  That is a pretty strange number.  A 25.5 boot has a 295 or 296 BSL.  A 301 would be about a size 26 but there are no size 26 boots.  I'm very curious.

Flexon or Full Tilt

Not FT.  I ski in Full Tilts, at least until I get my Head Hammer, and the BSL on FTs is 295 and the next size up BSL is 305.  An old Flexxon?

Unless FT is doing something strange with BSL on their new boots.

Flexons were 301's. I was in Flexons for 25 years, they were 301's, I was sure the FT was the same shell.

That's interesting, because my FT Classic clearly has 295mm on the sole and I know someone else who has a 26.5 and it has 305.  Full Tilt claims the Classic is the same as the original but obviously it isn't.  I'll see if I can take a photo that really shows the BSL marking on my boot tomorrow or Sunday.  Ski Swap tomorrow so i gotta be at the shop all day.  How old is that image?

You are interrupting a good argument with your initial question? LOL, you should be fine.

Your answer is probably yes, it should be fine. Assume your binding is mounted in such as way that it's in the middle of its travel right now. Most have a travel of 8-10 mm. If your binding isn't, outa luck. Now back to our regularly scheduled internal monologues. :D

Should be fine.  Pop them en and check that the forward pressure is in the range.  If you are sensitive you might even notice it makes you skis seem shorter.

4mm shade less than 3/16". Adjust your forward tension if required.

Do your bindings look like these:

http://theskimonster.com/blog/posts/how-to-adjust-your-salomon-ski-bindings/

"With the boot clicked in, you want the metal tab (the tab you initially raised to get the binding to move) to be in-between the inner and outer hash marks. If this tab is locked in place in-between those marks, then the forward pressure is set correctly. If the metal tab is resting inside the heel piece housing or hanging past the outside hash mark, then the forward pressure is either to tight or to loose. **The boot must be clicked into the binding to determine forward pressure. The metal tab will sit on the outside of the hash marks when the boot is not clicked into the binding."

Don't forget to take the boot out of the binding before turning the adjustment screw (if you need to adjust).
