Hi all,

During February of this year I undertook an ACL reparation operation in which an allograft was taken from my hamstring (30cm from the same leg). Since then I have been working hard in the gym on all aspects of my knee to stabilise the new graft and I feel fairly confident in the strength of my knee and quads to be able to ski... the problem is my very weak hamstring.

For some reason, however hard I try to work it, my hamstring just seems to cramp up after very minimal exercise so I was wondering if anyone else has ever had the same experience? (being that the ACL is a commonly torn knee ligament in skiing I would expect a few have!) Also would it be a bad idea to ski this season with a weak hamstring in terms of tearing my ACL again as there is less support offered to the knee.

Cheers guys
