Looking to change out the factory tires on my Toyota 4Runner with something better for snow ( All Season SUV highway tire came stock from factory).
I've got Nokian WRG2 on my Highlander - Best All Weather tire for snow in my opinion.
I've got General Grabber HT's on my Durango - Ok tire for snow, but no match for Nokians
Would like to go with something more 'All Terrain' than Nokian WRG3 for the 4 Runner so I can go a little deeper into Forest Service roads and maybe some easy jeep tracks - and they just look more butch, but my primary selection criteria is:
1) All Weather - One set of tires for Highway, Snow, off-road so no dedicated snow tires, etc
2) Great performance on Snow, compact snow, ice, slush. The Nokian WRG3 fits the bill and is my fall back tire if I don't find an AT tire that I like
Any first hand experience with: BF Goodrich TA KO2, Nokian Rotiiva, etc ???
No need to opinion on dedicated tires for different conditions: Snow tires for snow, AT for off-road, etc. I 100% agree that the 'ideal' is dedicated tires for their specific use - I've got a whole rack of mtb tires just for that reason, but mtb tires are cheap and they don't take up as much room. Absolutely no room to store SUV tires, not to mention the $1k per set.
Thanks for your tire reviews / recommendations!
