Binding recommendation help

Thread Starter
I would appreciate any advice regarding picking an appropriate binding for my 18 year old daughter. She is skier type III. Weight 140 lbs and 5'9. BSL is 306. The skis she has her eyes on are K2 Missconducts (169 with 85 waist). Even though those are twin tips she is an all mountain skier.

I have been looking at the following:

Salomon STH2 WTR 13 (basically because I have them and have been pleased with them)
Salomon STH 12 Oversize (but I think those no longer has the preferred driver toe piece?)
Look SPX 12

I am certainly open to other suggestions though.

Her specs seem to indicate that a 12 DIN binding is sufficient but would the quality and robustness of using a 13 or 14 binding be advised, or would she be too low on the DIN range? I thought I heard that you should try to not be at the very low or high end of a bindings DIN range?

Given the 85 waist I assume a 90 mm brake would be fine?

Are there any ease of use differences in the above bindings?

Thanks in advance for the help as always.

Either the STH2 or Look SPX12 will work just fine for her, she only needs about 7 or 8. You might also consider the Tyrolia AAAtack13, an excellent binding similar in appearance to the STH2 but less expensive. And the 90mm brake is fine.
