New Nordica Beast/Salomon x-wave 10 Boots

Hey guys

Anyone know of a shop or site with good prices on these boots? I keep a watch on ebay, so I know what they have. I'm also ok with '03 models if that's what's available at a good price. Any help you can offer is much appreciated.

I had last year's X Wave 10s but had to return them because they were fitted improperly.

They did not have any left in my size so I picked up a pair of Crossmax 10 boots.

To me they are extremely similar if not almost the same as the X 10s.

Snow Country ( www.snowcountrysports.com ) has a sale running on the weekend of the 27th and 28th for racers and pros. those two boots are very cheap, and if you buy them at the shop they come with a full fitting. In the case of the fitting you have to pay for and decide what footbed you are going to use. I just had mine done by the Foot Performance Center in Rochester which is an office that is affiliated with Snow Country. The guy you want to talk to is David Cardillo. The top footbed that they provide is an Amfit Custom Footbed... which essentially, they take a digital reading of the bottom of your feet, then they plug that into a computer and you get a 3D model of your foot, and what the footbed will look like. To make the footbed they plug the model into a CNC machine that cuts it out perfectly. They are made for however thick of thin you need them. At the toe mine are only 1mm thick because of the very low volume of my boot. Both of those boots you mentioned are in the shop for very low prices, as well as others that you may find that you like. I'm guessing that the price for both of those boots with a fitting is around $300, possibly even less. My team mate got the same attention from the shop that i did minus the costom footbeds. the only difference was that he got the Technica Icon XT instead of the Nordica Doberman Soft. He only paid $300, and will recieve 2 sessions of fitting and grinding once we are on the snow a few times to ensure that the boots fit him properly. You should be able to order from the site, but i reccommend calling the shop because they are usually pretty flexible.
