Uhmm... I admit I'm always a bit lost with this oz thing, but if Google converted this right, then it's actually more like 0.6oz for real espresso, so even worse :D Espresso is 20ml and nothing more :D
Yes, I was certainly wrong in saying 2oz. That's a double shot. I guess 1 oz is considered standard espresso shot here. We don't like ".85 ounces"
Given the insanity of US coffee concoctions a single shot is barely used for anything. Starbucks' large size, "venti" is 20 ounces of whatever. That's 591 milliliters. Well over half a liter of coffee! I don't know if Italy has since fallen apart and given up their standards, but when I was there there would not be a coffee container in the nation to hold so much. You would be considered a I don't know what, insane person, serial killer, to put that much coffee beverage in a container at a bar, cafe, restaurant.
However, your 20ml is not correct based on the Italian Certified Espresso standards.
According to The Italian Espresso National Institute (Inei) This is espresso specs:
Finn, I've decide you need to upgrade your machine in Steamboat. You need something with some steam power and more output capability for the hordes that will attempt to make it up the driveway and wish to consume milk/coffee beverages. 6 people will overwhelm your machine.
How about this guy? Makes concessions to convienence.
