Online Supplier for Tools

Hey all - Just a quick question today...

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good online retailer for purchasing ski tuning tools?  Files, Guides, Diamond Stones etc?

I thought I saw at one point in time one of the Epic Sponsors with discounts for Epic Members too?

I usually use Artechski.com or Reliable Racing. I don't know about any discounts though.

@Alpinord (Slidewright.com) is a sponsor.  I buy from him, mostly.

@Doctor D (racewax.com) is too.  I've bought some things from him.

You can also try Tognar.  Not a sponsor, but...

I didn't know they were Epic sponsors, but I've enjoyed buying/communicating from both slidewright.com and racewax.com . Racewax puts good little kits together and has free shipping, Slidewright has stuff thats harder to find.

There are so many.  I like The Race Place in Bend Oregon.  Just search that.  Good luck.

+1 on both RaceWax and Alpinord.

Artechski is a great family operated place with good stuff too.

Awesome - thanks for all the recommendations folks - I'm gonna have some shopping to do pretty shortly [insert maniacal laugh here]...

For the record, after hearing the name, I'm thinking SlideWright is the EpicSki sponsor I was thinking about.

When it comes to online purchases, you need to be flexible and ready to seize the moment. Scour them all. You will find an item at one site for 40% less at another site. Use all the sites and make multiple purchases. You do need to consider shipping fees.

I have used all the sites above and have never had a bad experience in several years. When it comes to customer service, the epic sponsors have been top notch. I always give them first look and if they are close, they get the buy.

I have a very nice shop with great tools and very few things were for full price. Most were at last 25% off. Wait for the sales. The fall and spring have the best ones.

My preferred vendor is Race Werks.  They are located in Boise, ID.

They carry all the brands, but they feature Sun Valley Ski Tools (SVST,) which are the tools you see on the World Cup, and IMO the best tools on the market.  They also make tuning kits available for purchase.

Additionally, they carry RaceService1 race wax which, as far as I know, is the only place to get the stuff.

They tend to run big sales in late March/April.  Sadly this will be the first year that they are not publishing a mail order catalog.  So give them some business and maybe next year the catalog will return.
