Fire at Seven Springs Mountain Resort - no injuries

There are few details at this time about a fire that broke out at Seven Springs' massive base complex that houses a convention center, bowling alley, boutique shops and restaurants adjoining a 7 story hotel. According to a facebook post from an individuals who live in the area the fire started out in the Matterhorn Bar located on the first floor of this building. There were no injuries but the extent of the damages is not known at this time. Ski operations should not be impacted but apres ski could  have one less option.

From the PIttsburgh Post-Gazette :

"According to Alex Moser, the resort’s director of marketing and communications, the fire occurred in the building that houses the indoor pool. Mr. Moser said the fire did little damage and was contained by staff before outside fire departments arrived on the scene."

Sounds pretty minor to me.

Holiday Valley is what, 5 hours from Columbus? So couldn't you include Wisp, Timberline, Canaan Valley, and Blue Knob?

(Plus Hidden Valley, Peek n Peak, and maybe a couple of other smaller ones - though I'd assume you wouldn't drive far for those.)

Never been to Wisp. Only 4 hours away. How does it compare to 7 Springs in terms of groomer runs? I am going to try Bristol about 1 hour past Holiday Valley.

I've actually never been to Wisp, so I can't say how it compares. It might be a place I check out this winter in an effort to try more new places.
