Whistler - is Dave Murray run typically skiable to base at Christmas?

Very specific Whistler mountain conditions question here.  Is the Dave Murray Downhill / Lower Franz's run usually skiable all the way to the bottom of the gondola by Christmas?   I'm going there with family and friends for Christmas week 2015, and the ski-in/ski-out houses we're looking at are alongside the Dave Murray run, part-way up the mountain.

If we can't plan to ski down that run to the gondola and ski back to the house at the end of the day, it would defeat the purpose of paying for ski-in/ski-out housing and we'll look elsewhere.

thanks for any tips from folks who've spent more time there that early in the year.

Tough call. I would expect it to be, it usually is but over last 45 years I have seen some seasons when it wasn't open for Christmas

However if the snow isn't co-operating, post 2010 they have a lot of snow making on that run. Its very well manicured so a lot of base is not needed. Even last year which was the worst season I've ever seen hit the lower hill you could still ski lower Dave Murray on the manmade until it got too warm to make snow in late march/april .
