Ski length & choices for 9 year old

I'm looking for new skis for my 9 year old.

Background:
2 years ago, I got him Atomic Punx Jr skis in a 120 length. He got about 22 days on them in the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 seasons. He loved the skis and really enjoyed the twin tip skis for some easier terrain park skiing also.

He has grown considerably over the last 2 years and is now 4'9" and 96 pounds. He also has huge feet for a 9 year old - he'll be in a 24.5 boot this year. He skis fairly aggressively and fast for a Texas kid that isn't on the mountains all the time. He likes the terrain park, but also loves getting into some bumps and isn't afraid of groomed blacks - still a little shy of combining the bumps with the pitch of black slopes.

I'll probably end up buying him the same skis again unless someone tells me something else that would be fantastic for him. His older 120cm skis are 75mm under foot. The 130's are also 75mm under foot. The 140's are 85mm under foot. All of the charts I see online say he is on the bottom end of the 140's. I loved getting 2 full seasons out of the 120's we got him when he was 7. I'm leaning towards the 140's to so we can get 2 seasons out of these also.

Am I pushing him onto too big a ski for him?

Also, anything else I should be considering for him?

I'm curious as to what size street shoe your son wears.

I had 9 year old skiers on 140's this past year, no sweat for them.

6 1/2 shoes. Recently tried to get his feet in last years 23.5 boots...it was a no go.

I'd seek out a bootfitter. It's unlikely that your son actually needs a 24.5. I'm in a 27.5, and have worn a 26.5 at times, and I'm a size 10 1/2 street shoe.

Yes. I wear a 8-1/2 shoe and my boots are 25.5. Remember that ski boots should not fit like street shoes. You do not want a bunch of space in front of the toes.

4'9" is roughly 142cm, so he would be slightly taller than the 140cm skis. A good length for a growing boy who is a competent skier.
