Skiing History magazine is published six times a year by the nonprofit International Skiing History Association. It carries no advertising and operates on funds provided by its readers. We'd like to know if you've ever seen or read Skiing History magazine -- and what you'd like to see in it.

Thank you Seth.  I really enjoy having you around here and hope that we can help you find some of the answers you're looking for so we can continue to enjoy experiencing the roots of this sport we love.

Nice feature, I hope this works better than all the single decade polls but I see they're still up. I hope you get a good response from our community, Seth. I will say this, the current yearly subscription rate of $49 is a bargain and you can't beat the digital subscription rate of $29. I don't know why Seth is shy about posting a link to the International Skiing History Association web site but for all interested, check it out:

I collected them for a couple years...

Seth Masia:

I missed out on the poll, or maybe I just can't figure out how to take that poll  ( quite possible.)

I have come across articles from " Skiing History Magazine" here and there through the 'net.  As somebody who is keenly interested in ski history, I have really enjoyed all the articles I have seen.  By the way, I printed out your fantastic article

"Evolution of Ski Shape" ( snowboards who would have thought?)    But, my time is limited so I wouldn't really have the time to read "Skiing History Magazine" if I subscribed to it.  The only one I subscribe to these days is "The Ski Journal" which, in my opinion, is fabulous.

Look forward to more of your posts here @ Epic Ski

Thanx Seth Masia

Thanks for the link.  The website was definitely a fun browse.  I'll check back later, when I have time for more in depth perusal.

Thanks for the positive responses!  Fact is we have a small but very loyal and passionate audience.

The subscription gives you online access to all the back issues, so you get to read older stuff to your heart's content. The $29 digital subscription qualifies you for back issue access so it's a great deal. http://skiinghistory.org

Onward!

Am I correct in assuming this is the same magazine as "Skiing Heritage"?

Yes, we changed the name a couple of years ago so that it more closely matched the name of the organization, the International Skiing History Association.

Bump

Lately I've been reading about non-profit ski areas.  There are a lot more than I thought, especially in Canada.  I assume all have some pretty interesting stories.

I thought many were non-profit. ;-)

I never heard of it.

It sounds interesting.  I do like the covers.  They remind me of Norman Rockwell.

Looks interesting but I'll probably skip it due to your incessant spam. One post is interesting. 50 posts and self-serving bumps are not.

Why not tell us something new instead of bumping a poll from 2 months ago?

JoeUT:  Fair enough, and sorry to annoy you. I just wanted a few more responses to the survey as I put together the Nov/Dec issue of the magazine.

Here's something new: Get a free trial issue of the magazine at https://skiinghistory.org/free-trial-membership     No strings attached.

Ciao.

Don't mind Joe, he's just upset that Phil and Tricia have "left" the EpicSki team. I'm still here. They can't fire volunteers.
