Has anyone skied the 2012 Head GTO 200 SW 200cm Men's Ski

This ski intrigues me. I was not aware they made 200 cm recreational skis in 2012. The dimensions are 118-63-100 at 200 cm. It has a radius of 17.6 meters and that seems short for a ski this long. I would imagine getting a 200 cm long ski to make 17 meter turn would take some practice. I'm considering buying it as a change of pace ski for east coast icy groomer days. How do you think it would work to fill that spot in my quiver.

Here's a link to the amazon listing:www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0145IIIRY?ref_=sr_1_31&s=outdoor-recreation&qid=1441858360&sr=1-31&keywords=skis&refinements=p_n_condition-type%3A6503254011%2Cp_8%3A598255011&pldnSite=1

Hi

I see you've found a dead cheap deal on this ski, as many before you (I myself saw it for that price with bindings included last season). But from any past reviews you read about them, you see its a kind of a parody of a racing ski, and many say that its kinda soft.

Just do a search for "head gto" here and you will find topics like http://www.epicski.com/t/134351/head-gto-200-for-cheap-masters-gs-ski

Like I said in there: I dont see this bettering a good ol' GS ski. I like the graphics and the crazy concept, but I think it gets old pretty fast. And then who you gonna call? Probably a GS ski with 25m radius or more (at least in my case hehe)

You can get a GS ski as stiff as you want, you can shorten it if you want it more playful, go longer if you want speed stability and there is probably more than 4 brands that you could source it and you would love it (and some of them you can get a good deal in used models, say the Masters ones).

The 2 skis I have seen the craziest discounts have been in those Head GTOs and Salomon BBR's. Fair to say those are not going to go down in history as the most popular models ever built.
