@Laurel Hill Crazie : how's the weather forecast around Pittsburgh?
I'm not even thinking about skiing, I'd get very depressed if I dwell too long. The long term outlook for the Laurel Highlands call for only near freezing overnight temps with daytime highs in the high 40s to mid 50s, very few windows for good snowmaking, if any, through the 18th of the month. The golf courses are still going strong.
Yep, about the same as Massanutten and Wintergreen in VA. But with the added snowmaking capability, I'm guessing they will open by the week before Christmas.
I wasn't planning on skiing in Dec for other reasons, but will be at Mnut the first week of Jan after the holidays. At least the cold reached WV this week.
