Kastle BMX 98 vs New Nórdica enforcer - Page 2

Many times these skis are rushed to get to the trade fairs and in some cases shipped directly from the manufacturer to Stratton or Copper. Don't you think they would want every pair perfect? Of course but we also need to be able to discern the difference. I have gotten on a few skis that I thought...nope, this ski should be better, I know it. Bring it back ask them and have it retuned. I have had more than one Product Manager chase me down an aisle saying that they fixed the ski. I think people are being overly critical.

And on that note, I never understood how a manufacturer could ever let a single ski get put on the snow without a strict QC process, including a final inspection process in place.  Its the one time the ski should be perfect, no excuses.

Definitely the latter.  It's hard to look past a bad tune even though the actual ski design could be phenomenal.

Totally agree with the QC statement, but the only fool-proof way would be to ski every single pair, which for some of the bigger manufacturers is logistically probably pretty difficult.
