I just move to Ogden, UT from Spain and I am looking forward for the season.
I have spent the whole Labor Day weekend looking for a pair of skis that works as a one ski quiver in snowbasin ( where I have my season ticket).
I have narrow my search to this two options. Kastle BMX 98 and the new Nordica enforcer.
I am 5'10 195lb. I have been skiing for 27 years( I am 30) and have a pretty good technique, skiing on the front mostly. I am used to freestyle skis and slalom skis. I know how to ski powder but I already have a fat ski in case I need it ( hopefully yes)
I want to explore the trees and out of groomers as much as possible but love to do some runs on the groomers pushing my skies. So I am looking a ski that will ski well out off the groomers but is still reactive on the groomers.
I think the 2 options that I have in mind will do the job but I keep doubting, mostly as I have never ski in Utah before so everything I know is what people has told me.
I have consider the last or MX98 but I think is not gonna be as good out of the groomers. The BMX98 I have found a new pair 178 for less than $500, while the Nordica will be a little more expensive.
What do you guys think?
Thanks a lot
