I must be mentally ill.

Of course what would you expect from someone with a user name of Mr5150. But that has to do with my clients, not me. Please believe me. Please....:eek

With that said, I received that Fabulous and Authoritative Magazine: SKI recently. In August no less! Must have been some innocent timing error. But anyway, I digress.

I must be mentally ill, because on page 49 this was written: "They did it again: built sexy new skis that make your old ones look tired and obsolete". Now I must be mentally ill, because I seem to remember enjoying my three year old skis for the last three seasons. They still appear to me tasteful and my guess they will ski just as well in January 2016 as they did in 2014.But perhaps I am wrong and the only cure is to seek help. Or just buy new skis, but I fear that will not cure me as I still think my three year old skis worked just fine in 2014 and 2015.

Any suggestions?

Well, even though I keep my skis way longer than most (recently retired a pair with close to 200 days on them), lots of times there has been a loss of camber as skis age, and if not tuned and waxed regularly, decreasing performance. So, for many people putting new skis on their feet (barring changes in technology) the new ones do feel better.

That being said, as long as you don't try other skis, you can remain blissful.

Due to poor local snow conditions the last three seasons my skis still have a lot of life left. Sad...

But yea, Mrs5150's skis were totally worn out two years ago. Her new skis were fabulous compared to her worn out pair.

You will just have to buy two new pairs of skis, similar in purpose to your old skis, then ski new and old skis for about 25 days each pair and report back.:D

Go forth and make multiple purchases.  The Ski Bums at the local ski shop need your business.
