I've talked with these guys on the phone re certain skis, and skied with a few of their employees at Copper Mt. on a powder day, and liked them, found them knowledgeable and decent enough.  Keep meaning to drop by there, large store/warehouse in Golden, CO.  They have some new skis, but their main business is as a clearing house for demo skis (only the cream of the crop).  And they are having a large Labor Day sale.

They will ship to you or do local pickups, from their showroom open to the public.

There's worthy competition though, in that 182-185 length: Stormrider 95 is insanely good (it better be), E100 works great (you might be a bit light for the 182), and you know how I feel about the 183 QLab. The Motive 95, albeit in 180, seems to fit a crazy-wide spread of skiers, from Segbrown, to me, to Drahtguy.

I keep thinking about how skis from different makers fit for me, e.g. How the 185 Enforcer (and the 184 Monster 88, kinda) fits between the 180 and 187 Bonafide. Both the Monster and the Enforcer feel closer to the 180 than the 187: I've been on Drahtguy's 2012 and 2016 187s, they feel (again, to me) like noticeably more ski, not as playful.

Summer must be ending soon, I'm nerding out on skis again...

Good response. You Know I also loved the qlab but not for steamboat. I actually snagged a pair of motive 95 s over summer and still have them. They are outstanding! Too many choices. I am thinking to sell the Scott's keep the fischers and use the enforcers for pretty much powder days. The fischers were remarkable in the bumps.

I would take the 180cm Vantage 100 over the 177cm Enforcer. The 177 skied pretty short, certainly shorter than a Monster or MX in 177-178, or even the RMU SCRM in 175.

I have the Enforcer in the 177 then skied the 185 at ski test and thought afterwards boy..I am sorry I got the 177 because the 185 spoiled it for me. I was pleasantly surprised when I got back on the 177 that I still enjoyed it. It really comes down to where you ski and how you have your quiver set up.

not quite Obie-wan.....  My new DD is the old Kastle FX84 that I picked up at the end of last season.  Its just as good as the 94 but more nimble and easier in the bumps.  The Enforcer will be my 4"-8" powder and leftover ski.  I picked up a pair of Scott, The ski, in a 185 which is 93 underfoot so I have a nice progression of hard/chalky snow ski, a soft snow ski great in the bumps and then the Enforcer which is pretty versatile.  If you would come back to the boat, you could demo them  wink.gif

I'm still hoping to end up with a '14-15 pair of red 180cm The Ski someday. Super fun and pretty!

You and me both, brother. I even checked with my connections at Scott if there were any laying around in the warehouse but no luck. I will still keep any eye for a pair, in the meantime I at least have my 175 whites.

Am I missing something, Phil?  Did you see ski otter's post, above? If FTM hasn't snapped them up . . .

Great find, thanks! I live just a few miles from Powder7, looks like a fine addition to a Saturday to do list...

Seems like a really reputable shop. I bought a demo pair of MX83s from them, and they were in great condition, just as advertised.

Hey, thanks, Otter!! I've been looking for a deal on a pair for the last year or so, and just pulled the trigger on the 165s.

Now back to the Finn's regularly scheduled programming...
