How would you say she skis now?
-She is a decent skiers. Good on well groomed blues. Has trouble with crud, powder, ice, etc
What runs at Welch does she like, and feel comfortable skiing on (using Welch as I know we both know all of the names of the runs)?
-She likes most of the blues there. I know she likes the wider runs better. Harleys, Lookout, etc. She does not like narrow runs like Twister.
What runs at Welch would be pushing her limit?
-Bakky, Chicken, Petes
How is her balance on the ski?
-Not terrible but to be honest I'm not sure.
Is she over her feet while she skis, or back on her heals?
-Maybe a little in the back seat too much
What are her goals by getting a lesson (besides becoming more confident on the mountain)?
-making sure technique is correct and improving variable snow skiing skills
Does she have good pole usage now?
-No. Not at all.
Does she link turns while remaining parallel?
-Yes, pretty smoothly
Can she purely carve a turn?
-Pretty close. Always a little skidding at the top of the turn
Is their any specific terrain she would like to work on (bumps, crud, steep, etc.)?
If she likes the lesson, is she going to want to take a series of lessons, or is this a one time shot?
-One here, one in MT on our first day there
