I am from the east (Seven Springs in PA) and ski mostly groomed slopes, with some crud/little ice for the most part. It has been a long time since I looked at skis and this full rocker thing is a bit odd to me. Seems like a waste of ski, when you are coming from a 175 and now looking at longer skis because of the new trend. Not a fan of really long skis, since my set before the Volkls were 200's. No interest in going back to those days. I am going to be 50 soon, but tend to ski pretty fast and like big sweeping turns for the most part, so I am on edge a lot, but I also fly straight down plenty, even on my old 5 stars.
I like Volkl, since they served me so well in the past and seem so effortless and responsive. It ls like I can't do wrong. What would be similar in turning ability? Code? RTM? I don't care about price since I tend to keep skis a while. Can't believe I skied my current set so long, but I really love them. Still I think it is time to move on. Any suggestions? Yeah, I am new to this forum, so forgive me if this isn't the best post.
Thanks for any help.
