The MCP just became a better value.

I needed a reason to check out Taos. They just gave me that reason.

As I said in another thread,

"Nice!   When did that happen?  Stowe is a 3-ish hour drive for me, and I keep wanting to go back to Taos.  I already have an MCP, so additions are gravy."

TSV just posted it on their facebook page.

When?  Bet I could talk Bill into driving over from Albuquerque.

What about Stowe? Or are you leaving that to @KevinF ?   :)

I was notified of Stowe being added to the MCP when I received the email announcing that Stowe's season passes were now on sale.

@epic and I were discussing that the New England Gathering in 2016 will be at Stowe with a side trip to Snowbird, although Taos would work well too. :cool  Depends what sort of flights are available from Burlington.  ;)

Seriously, it works out nicely for me with the Aspen Gathering.  50% off tickets?  Works well for me!  Stowe passes are expensive, but with various discounts that pass-holders receive, it's easily a break-even proposition for me.

Waiting for Taos to set the season ending date before we can firm up our schedule.

I think they are due out after Labor Day.

For Stowe, we should bring back Josh. :D

All this added value in the MCP - wonder who Vail is targetting to buy in the North East to keep their East cost epic base?

If Les gives up on that one, he'll have to move north of the border for his next venture.

Um, hello? Let's not forget that my home area is on the block, threatening not to open this season. 3 million to keep it open; 9 million (I think) to buy it outright. Some of the best skiing in the east, as people who have the endurance actually to get there will all tell you. Not that I'm particularly anxious to have Vail or (shudder) Les Otten own it.

Maybe you should invite Louie for a slice of pie. I think he have more than that in his night stand change tray.

You may have missed the intended facetiousness of my post - as in 'This resort ain't gonna happen, we all know it ain't gonna happen, but the idea of a possible buyout by Vail might JUST be the motivational straw needed to get something off the ground'.

And no, I would not care for Vail or Otten to have your home resort either.
