Started off lapping Kachina again. Hit K2, K1, and Dogleg. The K chutes were really REALLY good, but Dogleg was really, REALLY bad. Awesome run though, would love to hit it on a powder day. Oh... That's happening tomorrow!
About to drop in K2:
There was a sign at bottom of lift that said "Slider conditions: K4, Hunziker, and Dogleg".
Note to self: STAY AWAY from runs if there is a message like this posted at the loading station.
Snow picked up throughout the day, and the last 2 hours of skiing were out of this world. All that mountain needed was a few inches refreshment. I hit Pierre's again and it was even better than yesterday.
You had to get through this...
...but then got to hit this:
At the end of the day, I walked up to the ridge boot pack at about 4:10 and two patrol were getting ready to go up to begin sweeping both ridges. Luckily, they allowed me to go right before them to hit Stauffenberg. OH MY GOD, it was incredible. It hadn't been skied in a while, and while there wasn't enough snow to cover up the moguls or anything, there was enough to make it the one of the softest runs I've ever had.
Skied the rest of the way back down to the base and didn't see a single person. Great end to the day!
@brocktice, got your number. Will hit you up tomorrow!
