Those spots on the lower mountain are almost always bare. My condo sits at about 10000 feet and still has easily five foot solid base on the shady north side.

Who is going to start the 2016-17 Taos thread?  Happy to lock this one when the new one gets started.  I'm heading to Taos this season so will be paying close attention.

TSV is hoping to install Gazex for avalanche control on Kachina Peak.

TSV should probably hire bootpacking locals in November for Kachina like Aspen does for Highlands Bowl.
