Southwest also allows you to pull the plug and reschedule without penalty if conditions do not warrant the expense. So for those taking a gamble on an early season trip, Southwest is the way to go. Once again, do NOT commit advance $$ for the car or lodging until you know there's enough snow.
Generally I agree and options should be plenty but I believe you may best be served by reserving a rental if you find a good price and just check you can cancel. Last I rented with Hertz, Enterprise or Budget, I could cancel the day or rental. Hotels get a bit more touchy in Frisco area, some let you cancel day of arrival by 3 or 4 pm, others require 3 days ... given its early one can likely book pretty late a hotel and not worry about them being sold out
Nice! Where is this at?
Agree, looks nice and saw this pic on another thread.
Worldtravler19, despite being early season, and snow coverage may be limited, as a first timer it's likely you won't even care. My first time 4 day trip had me still happy with skiing 4-5 runs once I got off the beginner hills. However your dad may wish more but that's another issue for your decision. I'm sure you'll have a fine time.
Have a great time ...
Being from the KC area (If I recall correctly) then if needed you could consider moving/saving air and drive at the last min.
