Based on the manufacturer's description about the FR being a "freeride" ski, I bought a pair of 179cm High Society FR's and was surprised to find out they're only 1,700g each.  Even with carbon stringers, a 1,700g ski will never be the damp in-bounds crud busting machine I'm looking for.  Lightweight with lots of camber, looks like a great Spring touring ski.

Length: 179 cm
Dimensions: 124 / 92 / 114 mm
Turn Radius: 21.7 m
Profile: traditional camber
Core: poplar
Edge: 360 edges
Base: sintered 4000
Tail: semi-twin tip
Claimed Weight: [pair, 179] 7 lb 8 oz

I already have lots of lightweight touring skis, willing to trade this brand-new, in-the-plastic pair of FR's for 177 or 184 Volkl Mantra.
