What AT ski bindings to go with my Sportive Spectra & Volk Mantra combo?

Hi everyone, new here to the community and to the idea of touring in general.

I've been skiing off and on for a few years now in rentals, and finally decided to get my own gear. However, the one area that I am still stuck on is what kind of bindings to get for my new setup?

A little bit about me, I'm 5'10 at 155-160lb, and I have a pair of 177cm Mantra's and a pair of Sportive Spectres. I'm fairly comfortable on black runs, and I plan on doing mostly resort runs with the possibility of touring. With that said, probably I'll do a day or two touring at most in a single season, so the bulk of my skiing will be resort touring in Blackcomb. As such, heavier bindings (as opposed to frameless ones) would be perfectly fine with me.

So far I've taken a look at Marker Kingpin's, but the price and lack of availability has scared me off. With the Spectres, while they claim to be able to be used with any AT setup, the research I've done points to quite a few compatibility issues with existing bindings out there.

What do you guys think? Does anyone have any good and simple binding recommendations that might work for this setup and preference?

Welcome to EpicSki. I think your best bet is the Atomic Tracker 13, good solid binding at a much more reasonable price.

Awesome, thank you and I'll certainly keep that in mind. It's too bad there is only one color choice though lol

I'd be weary about using Spectre's in frame bindings. We made it work (barely), but I doubt it would pass any release tests.

Spectre is an odd choice for a mainly inbounds boot.

Get a regular pair of alpine boots and learn how to ski,  before you go flounder in the BC.

Certainly will lengthen the learning curve, or it could shorten it,  to one day.

what is wrong with:

Salomon Guardian

Marker Tour F10

Tyrolia Adrenalin

they are all AT bindings, any would work with your Alpine boots, could be very good (for AT) to go down, but all of the above are heavy compare to true AT bindings. But this is a compromise... these (above) binding are better to go down then up, where the true AT are vs. versa, better to go up than down.

The 2015 Salomon Guardian/Atomic Trackers are MNC ( multi Norm compatible). Gives you the option if using AT boots if you decide to buy at a later date.
