Utah Olympic Park: Grand Opening of Olympic Freestyle Pool

Project Big Air is complete. The aerial jumps at Utah Olympic Park were torn down and replaced with bigger and better facilities. Saturday marked the Grand Opening of the Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool. In only 9 months, the site was transformed to accommodate 7 jumps and the pool size increased 33% to 1 million gallons. Freestyle (moguls and aerial skiers), freeskiers, and big air will make use of the facility. There is also a climbing wall extending over the water.

Old facility (built in 1992):

Looks like they will be keeping the webcams (both live and timelapse):

I'm finding a lot of videos of the opening from facebook. Will try to find something shareable.

Park City has done a great job of featuring its Olympic roots and training center to draw both skiers and tourists:beercheer:
