I am still wondering where the vids are and from what I have read there; as in most instruction discussions with out the evidence of modern video technology; it is just another collection of words... without a feedback loop.
Words, words, words which get sliced up and parsed and finally p'liticised.
It was just a post of more of Ken's vids and after I added an answer you add another 'line'... and then grudingly admit he may have some good points.
Also: How do you tell someone to 'stay centered' when they don't know where they are. Maybe these 'too far forwards' think they are already centered but really; They don't know where they are. Sure 'stay centered' is the goal but moving back is the direction and correction.
Without specific directions, excercises and actions AND Feedback it becomes a repetition of 'general ski theory' which is not coaching.. It is cant. Watching video is great feedback... especially with The Dr. Ken commenting.
To reduce these vids and Ken's commentary to a 'unified demo look' and 'static park and ride' and 'a guy with a hammer' ; well ...
You are just digging a bigger hole.
I will cut you some slack in that by merely daring to have a web site and try to write about 'this stuff' you may be a pretty good skier... especially in world where the old guys I ski with get bored with technical discussions on chair lifts and just want to do some turns...
The heavier instructors and coaches here call you on it if you say " i am working on my skiing" . They say " what part ?? " .

... anyways, you didn't answer the question, but I see he's a L4, BC coordinator for CSIA. Now I understand he was staying "on message" - I'm guessing he was training L3s or something like that.
What do you mean "re-worded things others have said" - that's not what we do in ski instruction. Oh, wait...
p.s. he has some great points in other videos...
