old time Jackson Hole photos?

My first trip to Jackson Hole was January of 1988.  I was a senior in high school and flew from Chicago.  We stayed at the Hostel X for seven nights.  Here are a few photos from back then.  I have many more that I can share.  Does anyone else have any historical photos of Jackson from the 70's and 80's?

Yes, many times.  It was my favorite place for about 15 years, mostly in the 90's.  I am going back this February for a week, but I really like the skiing at Snowbird and Aspen even more.  And I have the MCP.  So I got that going for me, which is nice.

The hostel at Jackson, brings back lots of memories. Spent over two months at Jackson from Feb to April 1988. Stayed at the hostel for the entire time. One room (4 beds) for $38 per night. Had lots of friend stopped by and visited. Skiing was much tougher then. Way too gentrified (and crowded) now. Agree with you on the better skiing at the bird.

Most of my photos are up in VT. Won't be up there until next month. I did find one on my hard drive with a Grand Targhee jacket.

Spent 2 days there in the Spring of 70. Several of us came down from Bozeman/Bridger. A VERY good time, we were introduced to the local drink of the day, 'The Brown Bilge'; we had sunshine and hangovers.

Unfortunately cameras had not been invented then.

Corbett's from the tram. Circa early 80's. Those 205cm Elan GS of mine were probably the shortest skis on the tram.

Those were #3 & #4 of my daily beer allotment in accordance to my Jackson Hole 6-pack diet that season. I'll have two more for dinner.

The diet really works. I went from #190 to #128 in four months of skiing that year.

As I said before, the skiing was much tougher then. Or maybe I just suck a bit less now. :D
