What should I be looking for in a ski

Newbie here 10th June 2015

I'm on the lookout for a set of ski - my details as sugested

Where in the world are you skiing?  - Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Mammoth Mountain CA
What kinds of terrain do you prefer - groomed runs,  a little moguls, trees, steepish, crud and poweder
How many days a year do you ski? - 20 or so (it doesn't snow where I live)
How advanced are you as a skier? - Mid level intermediate, with a burning desire to be better
What's your height and weight?  - 220 pounds bare (100kg) or 230-240 pounds dressed to ski and I'm 6'2" tall (188cm)

Been looking diligently for skis online but ski makes don't seem to offer much or any information on ski suitable for a heavy weight like me.

Would appreciate input on what to look for in a ski as well as any recommendations on new OR used (second hand) ski.

Give me your best knowledge please!

Check out the Blizzard Brahma in 187 cm. Wide enough underfoot (88) for some powder/crud action yet narrow enough to make groomers/moguls/trees fun and manageable.
