For what it's worth, they had Contest and Horseshoe Bowl available for hike-to access this weekend. Can't remember if that was the case Thanksgiving weekend. Contest was reportedly pretty manky, and I can vouch for the same in Horseshoe - but this is the first step in getting it open for T-Bar access.
Looks like the storms this weekend and next week should help with that. I would imagine he's got a decent chance at them at least getting the T-bar or chair 6 open by the time he gets out there. I just keep hoping for some more snow down here at Taos. We had a solid early November and not much since.
Snow conditions always look dire until suddenly they're not. It's still early December. At least, that's what I keep telling myself!
The snow was manky there, but deep where I was - no rocks to be found. Easily accessible from T-Bar -> 4 O'clock ... might be a lesson would take OP there if the T-Bar is open.
